The aim of this study was to identify the impact of the current economic situation on the demand for dairy products in Mauritius and to predict medium-term trends in the African market and their impact on international markets. Specifically, the study aimed to identify consumption patterns in Mauritius, the size of the market and its major stakeholders (segments, import, supply, retail, etc.), and to assess the institutional and economic environment in relation to food security and free trade areas as well as the profitability of investments in this sector.
