The position

We are looking to recruit a Bids Manager who will be responsible of the quality of all aspects of the bids, including the evaluation of the opportunity to compete for a contract, the recruitment of technical experts for international development aid projects, the coordination of all parties involved in the bid process, ensure all timelines are met and the bid is submitted as complete and accurate as possible.

The tasks will include:

  • Coordinate incoming bid requests and proposal responses to clients
  • Prepare and review the bid proposal, both in terms of content and presentation, and ensure that it is submitted in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the bids team and inputs from a variety of stakeholders
  • Coach Bids staff regarding the entire bid cycle
  • Devise and carry out a targeted research strategy with the Business Development Team
  • Track and identify prospective technical experts using a variety of channels (database, social media, etc.)
  • Conduct confidential interviews and follow-up references
  • Prepare detailed profile summaries, format & enhance CVs for submission of shortlisted candidates
  • Offer guidance and facilitate the negotiation process through to its completion
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service and build a sustainable relationship with the clients and all stakeholders
  • Manage the Bids Budget and implement pricing agreements between EE, technical experts and other stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree – International Trade / Project Management / HR Management
  • Show an understanding of the bid process in international development
  • Ability to manage multiple Bids at the same time
  • Experience in securing large contracts
  • Experience in recruiting talents/candidates in developing countries would be an asset
  • Effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of International Trade
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Experience interacting with executive level staff
  • Fluency in English and French is a must

  • Make recommendations to management on improving all aspects of the company
  • Any other duties

Conditions

Assignment of 1 year with the possibility of renewal, subject to an excellent performance
Location: Beau Bassin, Mauritius
Full-Time: 8.30am to 5:30pm.
